Trimble Inc. is a Sunnyvale, California-based software, hardware, and services engineering company. Trimble supports global industries in building & structure, agronomics, geospatial, natural resources and utilities, governments, transportation and others.[3] Trimble likewise does hardware development of global navigation satellite organization (GNSS) receivers, scanners, light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation rangefinders, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), inertial navigation systems and software processing tools. On Feb 12, 2019, a new division called Trimble MAPS (Maps and Applications for Professional Solutions) was launched, bringing together Trimble's onetime ALK Technologies and TMW Appian Concluding Mile businesses.[xix] [20]
On Oct iii, 2019, Trimble acquired Cityworks to expand its GIS-axial digital nugget and infrastructure management solutions.[21]
On October thirty, 2019, Trimble announced that its Board of Directors has unanimously elected Robert K. Painter to succeed Steven West. Berglund as president and CEO of Trimble, effective Jan iv, 2020, the first day of Trimble'south 2020 fiscal year. Painter joined the Trimble Lath of Directors on January iv, 2020 also.[22]
On May 28, 2020, Trimble and Kuebix launched adjacent-generation Community Load Match capabilities to simplify finding and filling truckload capacity.[23] A solution that facilitates collaboration between shippers and carriers to optimize how freight moves throughout the supply concatenation.[24]

The company inverse its proper name from Trimble Navigation Limited to Trimble Inc.; the name change and modify in legal domicile became effective Oct ane, 2016.
